It noted that Roostino “doesn’t make its licensing or company name available in the footer, and no conclusive names came up during our research.” That led AboutSlots to call it “unlicensed for the time being.”

AskGamblers hedges rather than confirms. It warns that “the site does not display its licensing information at the bottom of the page, which bettors should always be cautious about.” Some database fields floating around cite Costa Rica. But Costa Rica doesn’t run an actual online-gambling regulatory regime — it issues general business registrations, not licenses with any player-protection oversight. So “registered in Costa Rica” is not the same claim as “licensed and regulated.” We also couldn’t pin down a credible operating company name. The entities attached to Roostino in various databases look like mismatched or templated records rather than a real, disclosed operator. What’s genuinely concerning

The licensing gap isn’t an isolated red flag — it lines up with what independent safety scoring says too. Casino.guru puts Roostino’s Safety Index at 3.4 out of 10, labeled “Very low.” Their own conclusion is blunt: “We firmly advise players to avoid this casino and explore alternatives with a higher Safety Index.” Their breakdown points to somewhat unfair terms and conditions — four flagged issues, mostly around bonus-wagering and low-risk-play clauses that can lead to confiscated winnings. It also flags a complaints ratio they call “very bad” for a casino this size. There are 11 logged complaints (0 opened, 1 unresolved, 5 resolved, 5 rejected), with disputed amounts running as high as roughly €12,669.

The pattern across those complaints is consistent and worth naming plainly.
